China Blue uses telephone tones to sound out the numerical sequence of the golden mean (1.61803).  The sound is projected onto the street with a cutting edge, new technology sound projector.  As people walk into the sound field they will hear the telephone tones and see the light cue on the ground the key "Decode".  The question will be can you decode the sound?

China Blue is interested in how acoustic energy shapes space. Her interest is driven by the idea that space is filled with and shaped by the sounds of those who live and use these areas.  So, with her work she uses sound to create and modify environments.
